If our mindset isn’t in check, we can be running either on autopilot, or find it really difficult to make empowered decisions throughout the day to take charge of our life.

This can make it challenging to:

  • say no and maintain healthy boundaries

  • feel safe, enough, loved and at peace

Yet Mindset is a huge and ever evolving area. We change. We evolve and up-level. We grow, thankfully!

Though at times our mindset doesn’t evolve quickly enough to keep up! It can feel like we’re doing ALL the things to get our desired result and feel the way we want to feel yet it’s REALLY hard work. Or it can feel like we consciously did the work to release negative emotions such as anxiety, yet our saboteur or a certain belief, only to find it comes back with a vengeance!

You already know a fair amount about how limiting beliefs and emotions can sneakily hold us back. Shining light on them and the tools you’ll learnt to date can unravel some of the beliefs. However sometimes the deeper recurring ones can take a little more shifting.

WHY ARE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS AND LIMITING BELIEFS PROBLEMATIC?

Negative emotions such as anger, fear, sadness and grief can literally live in our body for a very long time.

Limiting beliefs can be acquired way back when we were unaware. Even in the womb, genealogically or in a past life! Hence they so often AREN’T EVEN YOURS. They likely served or protected you or that version of ‘you’ at some point in time. However they often hang around way too long and invariably we aren’t even aware. It’s often completely at the unconscious level.

Hence we get in our own way, not deliberately, but because we could still be hard wired to struggle more than thrive. One particularly powerful NLP tool for shifting limiting beliefs and negative emotions is the Mental and Emotional Release method.

so WHAT IS Neurolinguistic programming?

There are many different definitions and components of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP).

It is essentially the practice of understanding how people organise their thinking, feeling, language and behaviour to produce the results they desire. It provides people with a methodology to model outstanding performances. NLP includes a set of tools designed to speak to our subconscious brain in a certain way. It developed in the US in the 1970s and still goes on to be used, tweaked and refined. The Mental and Emotional Release technique is a powerful Neurolinguistic Programming method to help release stubborn negative emotions or beliefs to help step into the fully desired version of ourselves.

The Mental Emotional Release technique (MER)

MER is a NLP method that helps to release negative emotions and / or limiting beliefs. The powerful part is that it relies on your unconscious brain to do the work.
